Hello, I am Eric.
I used to live in Banqiao. When I was in Haishan Primary School(海山國小), I built a habit of reading comprehensively. There were a lot of books in Sesame Street Hai-Shan Branch, and that truly fulfilled my craving for reading. Teachers there were all friendly; they devoted themselves to teaching English. They gave me a fantastic childhood that I cherished a lot, and I really appreciated that Sesame Street Hai-Shan Branch gave me so many pleasant memories engraved on my heart.
Then, I graduated from Haishan Primary School(海山國小), starting my life in Mathematical management gifted class(數理資優班) in Ji-Sui Junior High School(積穗國中). I began to read newspapers written in English. I thought that was a fast way to enhance my reading ability and it worked soon. I also tried to listen to ICRT, but I changed my mind later because it was full of music and advertisements.
Luckily, I was granted the opportunity to enter the best high school in Taiwan, Jianguo High School(建中). There were many students who had been proficient in English, and they spurred me to keep enhancing my ability. However, when the graduation is around the corner now, speaking is still my weak point. Apparently, it will still be my goal to reach in my future.
I think the most important part of English is speaking. However, it is also the most difficult part to excel in. I am an introvert; therefore, I feel extremely shy when I am interacting with people. I am very remorseful that I didn’t face my fear when I was young. As a consequence, I hope that everyone can pluck up their courage to speak English, and that will definitely be the reason why they can improve.
Don’t lose the hope and endeavor to learn, and the success will be with you.
