I’m Iris, your lovely children’s English teacher. Thanks for
supporting Sesame Street English, and being willing to encourage
your children to learn English in a No-Chinese environment. I
have been teaching English for about 10 years. I believe that
there is no shortcut to learn any language without taking time.
Learning English is like the way we learned our mother language
when we were children.We spent a lot of time practicing the skills
of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, but now our children
is goingto follow the steps to recognize English. It will be a long
process to have fun with English. Therefore, please give your
children more chances to learn from mistakes, and often accompany
them to find the solutions when they face problems.
I believe if parents spend a little time (10-15 minutes a day)
reviewing and reciting the lessons with children every day.
Gradually, they will become more and more confident, and love to
make a friend with English.
我是您寶貝的英文老師Iris。 感謝您對芝蔴街美語的支持，選擇讓孩子在
全美語的環境下，自然而然的用英文思考，培養未來對語言的應用能力。
從事教學工作近十年，深知語言的學習非一蹴可及，孩子需要經過一段時間
和它相處(多聽)、內化(累積足夠英文單字、句型)之後才能自然的表達，也
如同我們從小學中文一般。 因此，希望未來透過芝蔴街老師的團隊教導、家
長的陪伴以及鼓勵之下，讓我們的寶貝能學得有自信，用語言來探索這個世
界；也希望在增加自己未來競爭力同時，孩子也能懂得幫助需要更多幫助的
人，我想這才是學語言溝通的目的。學習如何「學習」是人生一輩子重要的
課題。假若我們希望在孩子小的時候能培養出對語言的興趣。那麼，各位爸
爸、媽媽們，從今天開始我們需要您的幫忙囉! 落實每日定時陪孩子聽英文
、朗讀英文、玩英文，才能建立起他們從生活中學英文，從英文中找到學習
的樂趣。
